I Do Say, Are Those Working Gears on Your Finger?

First off, thank you to my good compatriot Keith Kaye for bringing this lovely item to light.  He is a wealth information for such things.

Formalities aside, if you are, and I am vaguely afraid you may be, anything like mine-self I’m sure you’ve woken up thinking, or walked into a room thinking, or simply just thought “My gods, how amazing would it to be to have a ring made of gears THAT WORKED.”

Well good people, that day has arrived.  For the paltry sum of $165 USD you can have this beautiful, and if I do say so myself, quite stylish piece of body “hardware”.

They even have a oddly calming video to demonstrate just how “freaking” neat the thing is.

Now, granted, this is a bit of an expensive accessory, and though it is not DIY to, say, you or I, it is the first design of young, up and coming jewelry designer Glen Liberman who began his company, Kinekt Design, this year.  So do consider, you are supporting an independent artist.  Something we at the RL&GEMS are strong proponents of.

To quote from the website.

“[I have always been] fascinated and inspired by small mechanisms and their complementary movements. With this interest in mind, the concept was envisioned for the Gear Ring, a product “complex enough to play with, yet simple enough to wear”.

If that still has not sold you, then at least consider that the Gear Ring sure is snazz-ay!

For those further interested do visit official Kinekt Designs website.

Best,

-The Lord Baron
