The 1800s invade the 1500s and all goes topsy-turvey, timey-wimey, wibbley-wobbley! It’s the the annual Steampunk Invasion of the Bristol Renaissance Faire, August 8 and 9, 2015!
Faire invites all its guests to dress up in their finest time-traveling attire. No matter which century you portray, they’re looking forward to celebrating a leap back (or forward) in time!
The Absinthe Bar: This weekend only: The return of the Absinthe Bar (near the Lord Mayor’s Forum Stage), and a special visit from the Green Fairy. You may purchase your Absinthe shot in a commemorative Bristol shot glass!
The Steampunk Promenade Costume Contest with cash prizes for the best man, woman and couple whose costumes “put the Punk in Steam”. Saturday only. Register at Guest Services anytime before 2pm. Mingle at the Maypole from 2pm-2:30pm for anonymous judging and a group photo. Winners will be announced at the Lord Mayor’s Forum stage at 4:30pm.
The Marvelous Steampunk Accessory Contest with prizes for the three most epic accessories. Sunday only. Register at Guest Services anytime before 2pm. Mingle at the Maypole from 2pm-2:30pm for anonymous judging and a group photo. Winners will be announced at the Lord Mayor’s Forum stage at 4:30pm.
Marketplace Bonus Ticket Weekend : Shop the wares of more than 175 merchants and artisans, spend $200 in a day, and then present your receipts at the Guest Services Gazebo to receive two complimentary tickets valid through August 30th, 2015!
