Upcoming Chicagoland Steampunk(ish) Events!

Dec
03

Hello hello!

SO happy to have been a part of last night’s exquisite soiree! Pictures and report to come up soon so those of you who missed it/are not of a fortitude allowed at our events, can gawk and stare and wish that you too had attended our soiree fantastique!

“But – good Lord Baron” – you do ask – “are there events that lowly peasantry such as mineself can attend with or without the esteemed presence of yourself?”

The answer is – yes, yes there are.

FIRST and FOREMOST!!!!

December 3rd – The ESTEEMED Primitive Gallery is having a GALA event (aka sale!)

From 6pm until close – The Primitive Gallery – will be show-casing a number of things.  First off, their new holiday store-front – trust me – it will be different.  Second, their “impulse buy” collection will be on display for all your holiday shopping needs.  Third, there will be a hosted bar compliments of Barcardi and a Scotch Tasting with Dewars.

Lastly – if you, lovely ladies’ & gentlemen, have NOT been to Primitive, DO go.  The good standing member of the RL&GEMS, Lord Joseph Rudy is a member of this upstanding institution, and he will (should he not be already with another client) happy to show you a plethora of fantastic wares of antiquity from about the world!

December 5th!  There are not one but TWO (two) ((2)) Events!

First – The Starshaped Press – is having their TEN year anniversary event at their building in Ravenswood.

Check out their aether-web site (and the swell video on it!) for more information!

Next (and thank you to one Good Mr. Joseph F. Mason) there is, at the Aloft Loft, from 7pm – 10pm (yes conflicting events, what is one to do!?) An event.

The information, thank you once again to Mr. Mason, is as follows.

On December 5th El Circo Cheapo and The Aloft Loft presents our first ever, over the top, tongue in the cheek, reindeerific “Cheeseball Holiday Pageant!” See performances from El Circo Cheapo favorites like Mark the Knife and Ambidextrous joined on the Cheapo stage for the first time by students from the Aloft Loft. Be prepared to get smacked with red and green glitter bombs and probably hear some fantastic Christmas stories from our beloved MC Cameron Esposito. You’ll see blurs of sequins and maybe even your favorite characters from all of the December Religious Holidays.

See Mark the Knife, Dizzy Lizzy, Dharmesh Bhagat and Douglas Grew, Ambidextrous, Cameron Esposito, Aloft Students and more!

Bring presents! Bring Cookies! But mostly, bring your damn self on down to the Aloft Loft on December 5th at 7 and 10 PM for our awesome, student and professional filled Christmas Pageant.

December 5th
7 and 10PM
$10 seat reservation*
2041 W Carroll

Be sure to ask your friends which so they are in so you reserve the right tickets.

Then, lastly, but most definitely NOT least (and admittedly a bit aways from our “good” oligarchy) is a High Tea Event in Rockford, Illinois… unfortunately, I cannot find the details at this moment, so I guess those will have to come in the future!

Best – and hope to see you out and about amongst us!

-The Lord Baron

Good folks, I do believe that there will be two Circo Cheapo shows, 7pm and 10pm. Starshaped Press first, followed by an aerial variety show?
