Chicago’s magickal theatre troupe Terra Mysterium presents the second year of A Midwinter Mummer’s Tale. Their adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol previews on December 8 and runs through December 18, 2016, at Collaboraction in Wicker Park.

The Tale concerns the Yuletide awakening and enlightening of Esmerelda Pennywise, played by the delightful and charming Debra Ann Miller. New arrangements of British folk songs accompany original compositions. The titular mummer is a performer in a holiday pantomime show.

Grounded in the Earthy Mysteries, Terra Mysterium creates, produces and performs original, experiential theatre. Their performances can leave you in a spell.

The Collaboraction Theatre Company creates original theatrical experiences that push artistic boundaries in order to explore critical social issues with a diverse community of Chicagoans.

Collaboraction can be found at 1579 N Milwaukee Ave, Ste 336. Tickets are $20, payable by cash or credit/debit card at the theater. Seats will go quickly, so reserve your place now by registering through Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/a-midwinter-mummers-tale-tickets-29397577947?utm_source=eb_email&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=new_event_email&utm_term=viewmyevent_button.
