My gods! When we were contacted by Matterz from the Squidling Brothers all the way back in July about doing an event in October we never thought it would turn into the giant celebration that it did. Without a doubt, Carnivale Delirium was our biggest, and most successful event to date – and we can’t thank everyone who came out to help and support enough.
First off we’d like to thank the promoters in other cities who helped us, Calico Jack and her crew from Detroit along with Parliament & Wake for Michigan promo support. The Cpt. Anthony LaGrange & his Airship Archon from Columbus. Good Lord Hasting Bobbins of Tesla-Con in Madison for both promotions AND the two complimentary tickets to the con. Alan Leon from Milwaukee for his support. And Caitlyn Muncy from Bloomington, Indiana for postering the hell out of that town.
Doubly we want to thank all our local friends & crew who worked the door – The Dezomas, Sam Perkins-Harbin, Eve from Custom Vibes and of course our own KL Kenzie, and thanks to Reggies for all the support, the show would not have gone off without such a venue that was such a pleasure to work with. And lastly, 42 Below Vodka and Dewars scotch really came through for us on the sponsorship level (for those 21+).
That said, everyone had a great time, people were constantly in awe of the performances by The Squidling Brothers, The Show Devils, Environmental Encroachment, Hayley Jane & Broken Disco 1980! All the performers worked their acts together seamlessly and Broken Disco did a phenom job keeping the energy up toward the end of the night.
And, without a doubt, Glitter Guts topped off the night with some of the best photo-booth pics we’ve ever seen.
So keep your calendars marked… because I can’t see a reason not to do it again NEXT YEAR!
