Thanks to Mr. Auto-Technical (whom SHOULD be writing this post instead of I!)
Definitely check out the Neo-Vaudville-Americana-Pirate-Industrial-MusiqueConcrete group Hellblinki. I downloaded their album “Oratory” and I’m loving it, attached are two songs I’m particularly fond of, the first one “The End” I would describe as industrial cabaret while “The River Song” is the kind of thing I’d want to be listening to while drunk on bourbon in a Louisiana Swamp.
Hellblinki – The End
Helllblinki – The River Song
If you like this definitely check out the band – they are something else, their own description goes as thus – and personally – is much better than mine.
“… the Hellblinki Sextet’s tale of death, love, war, deadly poison, zombies, and the orange hamburger could be described as psycho-cabaret, southern fried with guerrilla operatics, or possibly as pirate-blues, infused with punk rock cinematics. Whatever words are used to define this epic masterpiece, it is truly a journey through the bent, bizzare, and beautiful, a darker reality not unlike our own…”
All in all a great find! Check out their website for event dates, I definitely want to hit the Chicago Show this October 29th at Dark Room!
Best,
